“Never in our lifetime has there been a more desperate need for constructive and committed dialogue, among individuals, among communities, among cultures, among and between nations.”
The purpose of Model United Nations Illinois is to create an atmosphere in which delegates are exposed to the international issues of today. Through diplomatic discussion, debate, and parliamentary sessions, delegates interact with one another to reach consensus and draft resolutions with the aim of improving our world. As citizens of our global community, we all have a responsibility to collaborate with others and improve the conditions of the world. Model United Nations Illinois is a forum in which such cooperation is both fostered and encouraged.
Hello everyone! USG applications for MUNI 2010 are now available as a PDF on our lovely website. I'm looking for Champaign-Urbana's best and brightest to lead MUNI 2010 to inevitable glory! MUN experience isn't a must, but it's most certainly a plus. Please print them out, fill them out, and turn them in to me, Nicollette Khuans, at one of the next MUN general meetings. I'm looking forward to working with you on what will surely be the best MUNI ever!
Most sincerely yours in diplomacy,
Nicollette L. Khuans

MUNI 2010 Undersecretary-General Application
Model United Nations Illinois has come a long way. From a fledgling conference of one committee and thirty delegates fourteen years ago, MUNI now accommodates five hundred students in ten committees and is hosted by a staff of sixty.
Through the years, we’ve moved from the Illini Union to classrooms and instructional space. This year, we have access to exclusive College of Business conference-style instructional space. Since its inception in 1994, MUNI staffers have gone on to hold esteemed positions in government, the corporate world, and academia.
